Brick #122

NY Mets Fanwalk Brick
Fun FANWALK Fact: Brick #1106. When my wife and I first met in 1988 we got very close with her sisters kids Jason and Jessica because their father was a cheating bastard and left them. I actually first thought the kids were my wife's and told her it was ok if she had kids. After laughing her ass off I found out they really were her sister's kids. We have stayed close to them over the years and they are like our son and daughter.

Jason was a big Met fan back then and so was I. We went to a few games over the next 2 years then they moved to Florida. Fast forward 15 years later Jason is married and was expecting his 1st son when Citi Field was being build. Thank god they picked a name and I ordered the brink before Jayse Andrew Meritz was born.

They just came to visit from Florida and we found the Brick

Brick #114

Fun FANWALK Fact: " I have been a METS fan since forever. I went to games as a kid and love going as an adult. I enjoy passing on the tradition. I am a lifelong fan and thought this would be a fun way to show my loyalty. My brick is in Section 10. Had the opportunity to see METS vs Phillies games in August 08 & 09 for my birthday. Of course, I will be back in 2010 !!!
LET'S GO METS !!"

Brick #113

Fun FANWALK Fact: "Easier than creating a website or a letter writing campaign, I've made my statement with my brick. It borders the leftside walkway leading to the main entrance of the rotunda so might get some views from fans standing on line to go in"

Brick #112

Fun FANWALK Fact: "My family got this brick in honor of my Grandpa Harry. Though the rest of us are Yankee fans, Grandpa was a true Mets fan. My Dad and I went to see the brick this spring and were lucky enough to see the game where Gary Sheffield hit his 500th homerun. My Grandpa would have loved to have been there!!"

Brick #111

Fun FANWALK Fact: "We live in Omaha, NE so only get to see the Mets play in NY about once a year, but we also try to make it down to Port St. Lucie for Spring Training whenever we can. My 2 year-old son Xander loves shouting “Go Metsies” whenever we catch a game so he wound up choosing what would be on our brick. I couldn’t have said it better. Let’s Go Mets!"

Brick #110

Fun FANWALK Fact:
"As a life-long fan of the Mets and a long time ParrotHead I thought the brick was a great opportunity to bring the two together. Waiting to see where it’s going to be placed.

I moved from Long Island in ’79 and live in Omaha, but had the opportunity to watch the Mets beat the Marlins 3-2 at Citifield on 31 May while back in the city for my 30th high school reunion.

Will be back again in the middle of May ’10 for another game or two … always enjoy catching the games on the Extra Inning Package or MLB TV on line."

Brick #107

Fun FANWALK Fact: "My brick is the first one in Section 6 as you walk onto the pavement bottom left hand corner"

Brick #106

Fun FANWALK Fact: "Paul Mussi was character if there ever was one! He passed away in 2008 and we took up a collection at work (Con Ed) and got him this brick. He would go around the office breaking into the "Jose Jose Jose" chant at any given moment so we decided to remember him by linking them together"

Fun FANWALK Fact: "I think it shows that loyalty to the Mets extends far beyond the confines of NYC, and even stretches across oceans and continents all the way to Israel."
